This video is just hilarious. Definitely took my blues off for tonight. I would say I would have to vote for Jolibee (sorry KFC fans). Enjoy and see for yourself.

President CORAZON "CORY" AQUINO Passed Away Today

Image
It was to my surprise an hour ago to see the news on TV that our beloved former President Corazon Cory Aquino passed away today at 3:18Am, August 1, 2009. The former President died from Cardio Respiratory Attack. It is Aquino Family's wish to have a more private moment with their mother and asked not to perform any presidential rites at the moment. The president had richly been apart of the Philippine history and had cleanly served the country under her presidency from February 25, 1986 - June 30, 1992 . May her soul rest in Peace.

Rashad Evans vs Lyoto Machida

Image
“This is my first time on the other side. You got to take it how you give it. Maybe next time I’ll do better” said Evans. I am not really much into UFC but watching the 2 undefeated Ultimate Fighting Champions in mixed martial arts of the world had caught much of my attention on the TV at the live fight! Okay, for a little history, Rashad Evans , born in New York have 13 wins, 0 loss, until one Saturday night, May 23. He was beaten until knock out by Lyoto Machida , at round 2 for 3:57 minutes. I didn't know both that much until now. Evans was known to be the "lucky puncher" while Machida was already in karate since 3 years old. “Karate’s back!” shouted Machida. Congratulations!

BODO'S BAMBOO BAR in ALCOY, CEBU (Part 2)

Image
This is the famous "pasta carbonara". Tastes just like heaven. Bahay Kubo is a common Filipino type of house. However it's not common to have a pool just right beside it. "Calamares" is just deep-fried squid rolls dipped in breadcrumbs, seasoned with pepper and salt. This is a good beer match.

BODO'S BAMBOO BAR in ALCOY, CEBU

That's more like it. Three bamboo chairs and only 2 swimmers... hmm guess you know where the 3rd one is here... 180° View fronting Bohol Strait Right at the back of this facility is a wide mountain range of Alcoy, Cebu. This is the best place to stay for retreat. So provincial you don't want to go back home yet. This is the breath-taking pool that greets you right in the entrance.

Sometimes painting keeps me busy, even wall painting! Come in. Now you know why . Yes I can stay here forever. Time flies so fast. If you want to learn how to do wall painting in stripes , just follow these few easy and easy simple steps: Prepare your colors to use for you painting. This means you need to decided which colors are to use for the background and which colors are used to paint in stripes. Clean the wall to be used for painting in stripes. Make sure the space is free of water or dust before coating. Start coating the wall with the first layer of your background color and finish it off with the kind of color intensity that you like. Wait for it to dry a bit before you start brushing it off with the real colors. Brush your colors in stripes alternately. You may use even width or use various thickness per color like the ones I did on my wall. Wait for the paint colors to settle on the wall before you straighten up the edges of the stripes. Lastly, use an electrical tape to...

Foods at AA BBQ, Cebu

Image
Filipino's very own Halo-Halo. Halo-halo is a combination of shaved ice, sweet beans, slices of jackfruit meat, cut jellies, and milk. Toppings can be different flavors of ice cream and ofcourse, leche flan. This truly enticing dessert makes you forget you are on a diet. Frozen Margarita is best served when chilled. The margarita salt crusted around the glass rim will help complement the strong flavor of this spirit. Pork BBQ at AAs BBQ This is a fairly cheap piece of stick not really meant for people on diet. It is just so sumptuous you can't get enough of! Baked Talaba Each piece of shells promises you nothing but the creamy taste of butter and cheese melted on top the "talaba" or shell meats. Shell Stew Don't dare to eat anything yet unless you've tasted this great soup. This is served best when hot. You sure don't want to skip the appetizer part. AA BBQ is one of Cebu's pride when it comes to the true home-grilled taste. They have branches in A.S ...

TRIP TO CAMOTES

Image
My good friend KC and I arrived at this beautiful Island of Camotes, Cebu around 9AM of May 2, 2009, Saturday. We stayed at White View Point but toured around Santiago Bay and Mangodlong Rock resort. Truly white sand only. How to get there? Simple: 1. You can choose from the 3 routes. Take the boat from Ouano warf from Mandaue to Portabella, Camotes Take the Trip from Danao Cebu, to Camotes or take the ferry from Pier 1 2. From Portabella just take a motorbike (fare is roughly P100/head) to San Francisco (where the Resorts are) which is approximately 15-20 minutes ride. Rumors has it that this is just another paradise from among the many white sand resorts in the Philippines and indeed it is! I couldn't help but take pictures of the beach from every angle. There was nothing you can see but white sand and a very long stretch of the shoreline. The weather was not so cooperative but it didn't bother us a bit. We had a lot of fun and I would love to be back in Camotes Islands over...

BAKING SECTION

It took me almost 3 hours to prepare this choco moist cake for Christmas eve of 2008. Tedious but indeed fun and all worth it. So yummy... Not bad huh??? How to Make a Choco Moist Cake Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour 1 cup sugar 2 blocks of choco bars ( I prefer to use Ricoa Chocolate blocks when baking) 2 eggs 1 cup water 1 tbsp vanilla extract 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 5 tbsp oil 1. Add sugar, flour, baking soda, eggs, oil, and salt in a bowl and combine well. 2. Add water and vanillla extract. 3. Melt the choco bars in a saucepan. 4. Mix all ingredients until all lumps are broken down. 5. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes. Finally, sprinkle with chopped nuts and marshmallows just like what I did. Easy!
